Taylor Hale was born in Southwestern Ontario in 1994, eventually finding her way to the Wattpad fiction app in 2015, where she has since amassed over 26.2k followers and millions of views across multiple web novels. Her debut traditionally published novel, THE SUMMER I DROWNED, was published in North America and sold to Penguin Random House in the UK in 2020. It has since been named one of the Ontario Library Association’s top ten YA reads of 2020.
Taylor is also the co-creator of the young adult digital series THE LAST PLACE TO HIDE, which is based on her original short story of the same name, and went into development with CBC and iThentic in association with Wattpad. Meredith Vuchnich (BEANS) was showrunner, with Lisa Baylin (SAVE ME) as producer.
Taylor is a proud member of the Writer's Guild of Canada. She is represented by Jennifer Weis of the Ross Yoon Agency.
